Phosphate is an essential macronutrient and it has several key roles in crop production. Phosphorus is essential for ATP, ADP, and basal metabolism within plants. Phosphate solubility and availability can be affected by things like pH or excess lime. In high pH soils with excess lime, phosphate can react with cations like calcium, making it insoluble and unavailable. Captivate D is a low salt, 100%, clear, seed safe orthophosphate that can be applied at plant in furrow, in a 2x2 band or through irrigation equipment. When applied at plant in furrow or in a 2x2 band, Captivate D promotes early root development and root and shoot growth.
